radio voice and carnival laughter
oil on wood
Non-Objective
9" x 9"
2010
this painting sat idle for six months or more because it was stuck in a rut with composition, color and had no life to it's being. i sat the painting on my work table so it would be visually in my radar. i would doodle on it from time to time with no real conviction until one day full of angst i mixed a vibrant red-orange along with the mindset for a transformation.
during this time period i was writing my friend (big tall margaret) and used the phrase 'radio voice and carnival laughter' to describe one of his characters he falls into. this imagery falls into the hands of gregarious traveling amusement show.
